LIMA

Lima, the capital of Peru, was founded as The City of the Kings at

the end of the 16th century. Years later, the name was changed to

Lima and declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. Lima is

located on the central coast of Peru and its rich cuisine is one of its

principal attractions.

When you walk through Lima's magnificent historical center, you

will appreciate the amazing architecture that surrounds its streets.

The center is dotted with spectacular plazas, ornate balconies,

stately palaces, magnificent old hotels and awe inspiring churches.

You can end a perfect day by enjoying the nightlife of the modern

cosmopolitan side of Lima

Do not miss the chance to try a good Ceviche made with fresh fish, sea food rice and a fabulous Pisco Sour.

LIMA TOUR & MY MOTHER'S KITCHEN

Our tour includes sightseeing in the historical center of Lima. We will start our journey at the Plaza San Martin with its magnificent statue and surrounding colonial buildings. From there our path will take us down Union Street to the Lady of Mercy Church. Here you will see the last buildings that were part of the old financial center of the city. A visit to the Plaza de Armas, historical Lima’s main square, where the Government Palace, the Presidential Palace, the City Hall, The Cathedral Of Lima and Archbishops Palace are located. We will finish the tour at the San Francisco Monastery and its catacombs.

The excursion includes visit the districts of Barranco and Miraflores, including a stop at the Park of Love. Here you will be able to admire the large sculpture called, “The Kiss,” made by Victor Delfin, one of Peru’s premier artists.

Our journey finish with the Culinary Show in our home. You will have a chance to enjoy watching your lunch prepared in “My Mother’s Kitchen,”. During this time you will also enjoy a freshly made Pisco Sour before we sit and enjoy the lunch you helped to prepare.
