What began as a simple Zoom Virtual Tour has blossomed into an incredible journey! Back in 2017, I envisioned a fresh way to showcase the wonders of Peru—a perspective that captures the heart of a tour guide and transforms it into an engaging show accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world. This was especially for those who might not have the chance to travel to our beautiful country.

Since 2017, I’ve been tirelessly recording captivating videos from various stunning locations in my homeland. Then, in the middle of 2020, when it became clear that tourism wouldn’t bounce back anytime soon, I decided to dive headfirst into this project! I wanted to create something unique with LIVE commentary that feels like chatting with a friend while offering viewers the most current insights into Peru.

Editing each video and rehearsing my script was a challenge, especially presenting to an empty room! It was tough at first, since I craved that interaction with an audience. But when the moment arrived, I launched it on a video conferencing platform, and it was exhilarating! This was a brand-new, fresh experience, allowing me to showcase Peru in a way that felt dynamic and engaging. While we initially called it a virtual tour, I always thought of it as a Virtual Show—taking viewers into a new technological space where they could explore places they had only dreamed of visiting.

I’ve had the joy of streaming these experiences to students in Europe, families gathering for video conference birthdays, sons showing their moms the incredible places they visited, and groups of friends celebrating anniversaries together. Each Zoom call filled my heart with new emotions, friendships, and smiles!

Now, in 2024, I’m thrilled to finally present this experience as it was meant to be—face-to-face with my audience! I can’t wait to share a little piece of my beloved Peru with everyone!
